I was looking for a program like this. I would have given it five stars if it would have included Canada and also the option to create/ add on your own day. Would like to see it in its next version!!! Keep up the good work.

I like the fact that not only us holidays were on the calendar, but also Canadian and Swiss. If one feature could be added it is the ability to add your own "holidays". For example vacations, and "bruecke" days.

I like this one more than I thought I would. You can customize it extensively and it covers past and future years in a convenient fashion. Nicely laid out. Tasteful. Easy to use and I recommend it instead of using the default calendar to keep track of upcoming holidays.

Excellent application. I would give it a five star if the holidays could be automatically transferred over to the iPhone calender.

Id like brief descriptions of the holidays, nut aside from that this is a very good application.

It does what it claims to do quite well. I like the fact it is international in scope because I travel for work a lot. Unfortunately the very first holiday I checked was wrong! In Canada, in 2010, Victoria Day is May 24 not May 17 as the calendar says - so it loses a star. Hopefully the developers will notice this review and fix the error. (5/10 update - restoring the 5th star because the Victoria Day bug I reported was fixed promptly!)

Great app! Would love to see Chinese events / celebrations such as Chinese New Years, Chinese Thanksgiving, etc in an upgrade.

A Great little app. Really appreciate the international & multiethnic holidays (could add to these in future), BUT it seems like a no- brainer that this should sync with the calendar app so that I wouldnt need to manually enter the holidays that affect me or remember to check in the app that there is no conflicting holiday when planning an event for next year. Its just not a five unless this feature is added. A couple of minor issues: I dont mind opening the app to see the number of days before the holiday, although it would also be quite elegant here to allow me to set an alert or two for some of the holidays, and maybe there could be something more visual for those days selected as "day off" or to indicate "bank holidays" as opposed to days one just pays attention to as well.

Good lay out and nicely colored. Easy to read and scroll. Needs to have the functionality to import this data into the users calendar.

I have been using this app since 2010. The developer has effectively resisted adding eye candy, social media connections, etc. Thank you. You can get as granular as your want for counties, religions, social topics, etc. and then when you want to see whats coming up, the informations is given in a straight forward list view. At the top of the list on the top right and left are buttons to step back and forward is years...the year is on each button so you can quickly see past/future holiday day & dates.

Good app, it would be a great app if it linked to the iPhone calender.

Ive downloaded most of the "holidays" apps and I can say that this is the most complete one. Also, it has the most beautiful presentation of all. In future updates, I would like to be able to put some comments about the holiday (such as what it is celebrating) and to allow the user to add personal dates.

This is so great so when I travel to other countries Ill know when their bank holidays are. Thanks so much. Would suggestif can be put into iPod calendar with other dates and appointments.

Beautiful colors, many countries... However this should be part of a calendar and task manager which you should develop. Look at Smartime+ calendar,todos,gtd for $10, with drag drop tasks (but add week and month views), and you will become VERY popular. One Problem: once i initially select United States, next time i run the application, i want to look at other countries holidays, how do i do that, there is no control for that. There should be a drop-down list on the bottom to select country. Upon load the application loads up fast and into the current year calendar, but i want to look at other countries holidays too. Also: there is a left/right button on top, it should also be a slider control to select next/previous year Nice: when you click on a holiday it tells you at the bottom: "63 days left".. a nice touch (or also says 2947 days left for year 2017 :-) )

Nice, as far as it goes. Would benefit from a broader cultural approach--needs Muslim and Hindu holidays since so many Americans observe those. I also hope an upgrade will allow this apps data to be imported into the iPhone calendar.

Wonderful application, but who is the creppy guy on the background??? I would like to see the background either reflect the next holiday or the selected holiday. Or at least have a changable background!

This App works great. IN ENGLISH When You first start the App it asks You what Country. You can also customize the Holidays You want.

Im an educator and wanted a calendar to track days schools are closed but disappointed that some Hawaii state holidays are not listed. Should at least allow consumer to make the additions. Whats the sense of posting state holidays if its not complete?!
